Scott Conroy is a native to San Luis Obispo, CA. Scott has been playing music since 1996 and started performing live music when he was seventeen. Scott started teaching his close friends and some of the neighborhood kids how to play musical instruments. After high school, Scott began teaching private music lessons to people who would book him through craigslist. Scott studied Music Performance and Jazz Studies and went to Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, and Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz, CA. While studying Scott performed in a myriad of different ensembles and bands in a wide variety of styles, some in school, but mostly real world gigs.
Scott started teaching music lessons for a busy music shop in San Luis Obispo in 2011. Scott obtained his own business license in February 2016, and opened a private music lesson teaching business, SLO Music Lessons (www.SLOMusicLessons.com). Scott now works teaching lessons to individuals and small groups out of a small in-home studio to 25-30 students a week on Guitar, Violin, Ukulele, Mandolin, Banjo, Piano, and Upright & Electric Bass.
